My Travel Experiences

"Experience is the best teacher," as the saying goes. I had my shares of travels in our beautiful country. I may not visit and take scenic shots of the 7,107 islands but I had visited a few. To far north and down to south. Most of my travels were just trips with my friends and relatives. Visiting family reunions, birthdays or just plain trips.

The smell of the brewed coffee beans of Batangas was enticing. I could not resist to have a cup of it. It was better than to have a gulp at Starbucks or Coffee bean. And I think it can compete with them if given enough funding from both private and government. I had stayed to my grandmother's old Spanish-style house and slept on a native "papag". It was really fun having slumber parties with my cousins whom I had never seen for quite sometime. We were like kids then. I had tasted the best beef of Batangas at my lunches and dinners which were perfectly cooked by no less than my grandmother. Fresh fruits and vegetables were best too.
My trip to Zambales was memorable. Here I had my friends strolling around the woods and had swum on the clear water of the river. We swum restlessly and dove even to the deepest part of the river without something on. It was really one heck of fun.
What is a party without alcohol?. We drunk as if there was no tomorrow. We even set a bone fire after sun set. Dancing and drinking all night long with my closest friends. I woke up besides the acacia tree scratching my arms with red ants. Then everybody ended up scratching their skin. We had slept near the ants' colony. Laughs all around the place echoed. After that we cleaned our mess. We didn't want to leave the place with our trash so we did our share of "love-the-environment" environmentalists thing. It was a good feeling of protecting our environment.
The most recent trip I had so far was our trip to Puerto Galera  with my classmates at UCC and of course with my professors. I had the first experience of traveling the sea by a "Ro-Ro" ship with our bus in it. I saw a group of dolphins swimming the clear water as if they were racing us. Viewing the rest of the trip at the deck was fun though at first I had "sea-sick" feeling. We stayed at Nirvana hotel with so accommodating staff. We had three days and two nights of fun so memorable because of the prepared program for us. The banana boat was exciting and fun. I never thought it was until I was on it. The food was great too. A buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner which I ended up in the comfort room. I had ate so much that I ended up in that room. Luckily for me I found one comfortable "place". We had parlor games, sight seeings, picture takings, swimmings and orientation on how Tourism works. We were being oriented on the importance of tourism to our country and how it can attract foreigners to visit our country. As a tourism student, one must be adept on the different tourist spots of the country and be familiarized on the historical and geographical location of them.We were sad when they announced to pack our things and be ready for the trip going back to Manila. It was really a memorable and educational trip.
And now, we are looking forward to our next trip which is due next year. A Bohol-Cebu trips sound fun  and exciting. A plane trip for the first time should be fun for me. And to my future trips....hope i will travel not only the Philippines but the rest of the world.
